Unity4 is a 100% Australian owned call centre and technology company that runs a large and highly sophisticated at home contact centre business.
We have over 300 operators dotted around the country working on a variety of interesting and challenging assignments.
How and when did Unity4 start operating?

Unity4 was established in 2000 by 4 business partners (hence the name, Unity4!). Each partner has considerable experience in product promotion and direct marketing management. Unity4 now has divisions in General Teleservices, Market Research and Pharma. We have developed a great team of reliable, mature, hard-working individuals that consistently provide great results for our Clients.
Where does Unity4 currently recruit agents from?
Unity4 currently recruits agents from anywhere in Australia. As long as you have broadband Internet access and a telephone you are able to apply to Unity4.
But I don’t have broadband – can I start?
If you are within Australia and you don't have broadband Internet access you will need to wait until broadband is available at your home.
What is required?
Subscription to a reliable broadband ISP
A corded telephone near your computer.
Will I be employed by Unity4?
Yes, you will be an employee of Unity4.
Am I covered by an award or agreement?
Unity4 Pty Ltd complies with the current Fair Work Australia Act. You will receive a copy of the Unity4 agreement to review and sign before starting work.
How do I create a safe and effective home office?
Below are suggestions to help make your work environment effective, comfortable and safe.
Be safety conscious – make sure that your office is set up with adjustable desk and chair; has appropriate ventilation and lighting, and that your computer, keyboard and mouse are set at a safe level.
Your room should be free of distractions – Unity4 requires professionalism from all of our Agents. Background noise is unprofessional and distracting.
Tell your family and friends about your new job. They will appreciate that although you are at home you are working. It may take a while, but eventually they will accept the fact that they are not to interrupt you.
How and when do I get paid?
Unity4 will pay you twice a month into your nominated bank account according to the Unity4 pay cycle.
How is my pay calculated?
At Unity4 you are in control of the amount of money that you can earn each week. You may be paid in a number of ways. Either for every call that you make, per minute you are working, per hour, or for completed calls only. Effectively, you are paid on the results that you generate.
Our current agents are earning between $18.00- $28.00 per hour.
Does Unity4 pay superannuation and workers compensation?
Yes, we will transfer your superannuation entitlements into your nominated superannuation fund. You will also be covered by Unity4’s workers compensation premium.
How is my work allocated?
You will need to register your availability with Unity4 by 5pm each Thursday for the following week. We will then allocate you work according to your availability and the campaigns that you are trained on. Please be aware that you are not guaranteed work for all of the hours that you are available, however the availability that you submit to Unity4 will be used as a guide.
How many hours can I work per week?
You are able to work up to 38 hours per week (or reasonable additional hours) averaged over 12 months, provided that Unity4 has the work to allocate. We request that you be available for a minimum of 15 hours per week and suggest that you don’t work more than 8 hours per day. Also, you will need to take a break away from the computer after 5 hours, and we recommend a short 5 minute break every hour.
Will Unity4 monitor my phone calls?
Yes. Unity4 is committed to providing quality service to our customers. We will record and monitor your phone calls to ensure professional handling and ensure you are providing high levels of service. We will use these recordings as a training aid to ensure that you are reaching your full potential with Unity4.
Do I have to have broadband Internet connection?
Yes. If you are using a computer that is networked you must have access to the main computer. If your broadband Internet connection is not working you will not be able to log on to work with Unity4.
Do I need to know how to operate a computer?
Yes. You should have Intermediate computer skills to be an agent for Unity4. You should be able to use e-mail and Internet, and be familiar with word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
You will need to undergo our Computer Skills online test during your application process. This test will assess your familiarity with some applications.
Can I work with Unity4 if I am using a Mac operating system or virtual windows?
No. Sorry Steve.
All Unity4 agents use an in-house software application. This application works off the Windows platform. It is tested to run off Windows XP or higher. Unfortunately this application will not run from Mac or virtual windows.
What sort of phone can I use?
All Unity4 agents are required to use a corded phone. Cordless phones are not permitted due to Privacy Regulation. A standard home phone is fine. You will need to turn call waiting off the line that you are using for your work with Unity4.
If you want to make sure that you don't miss any calls Telstra and Optus both have features such as Telstra Message Bank that will allow your incoming calls to be diverted to a message bank.
The phone that you are using must be next to the computer that you will be using for Unity4.
Do I need a headset?
Who pays for my phone calls while I am working?
We do. Unity4’s technology enables all phone calls to be routed via Unity4's own phone system to and from your home telephone when you are logged in to the Unity4 system. This technology allows Unity4 to incur all phone call charges that are made. Therefore, you don’t have to pay for any of the calls you make when working for Unity4!
Is there a department at Unity4 to assist with technical difficulties?
Unity4 has a dedicated help desk to supporting its Agents for all software and hardware problems that are directly related to Unity4.
What if my computer breaks down?
Unity4 is able to help you with any issues that are directly related to the use of software used as part of your contact with Unity4. For any problems that you may have with hardware, ISP or other programs you will need to contact your own computer technician.
What do I need to be able to work with Unity4?
