Brett

I first began looking for a "short-term income solution" some four years ago now.

My wife and I had just moved to the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, to attempt a "tree change" and after we had completed a new home, the search began to find work. One of the few sacrifices you make when you move anywhere regional is income. So I was well-prepared for menial rather than meaningful work.

As a further complicating factor I was born with a physical disability that largely ruled me out of any long-term physical activity and therefore a large percentage of available regional work.

My search began by trawling the Internet for home-based work. Having spent what was probably the better part of the morning wading through more "not to be missed" opportunities than any man can reasonably bear before lunchtime, a strange thing happened. I noticed a particular website, Unity4, which I initially thought could be some sort of United Nations sub-branch or a band of superheroes searching for fellow crime fighters and general do-gooders.

After I got over my initial disappointment (I look fabulous in a cape), I was pleasantly surprised to find that although capes were optional this was an entirely viable and very reputable organisation. As I recall, I was interviewed over the phone to asses my level of skill on the phone, which I thought was a good idea on so many levels. I was then trained on the use of the computer system, all from the comfort of my own home. I worked on several campaigns for four to five months and really began to increase my pace on the system. It has to be said though that this is not due in any way to the setup of the Unity4 system but more to do with the limitations brought about through my disability.

After approximately 6 months with Unity4 I received an email advising that there were vacancies on the CareFlight fundraising campaign. So not only was I able to work from home but I could attach real meaning to my day-to-day work. The kind of meaning that comes from knowing you’re directly helping people to save lives on a daily basis.

So what started out as a very much stop-gap measure, just until something better came along, suddenly became a very rewarding and worthwhile role. And I won't lie for a moment and tell you that every day is a bed of roses, the downside, if any, has much more to do with the fact that I work in a sales role and very little to do with Unity4. In fact, one of the most encouraging things about working for Unity4 for is the fact that the campaign managers are accessible and understand the unique challenges working from home provides. The managers are extremely supportive, always have been. I often wonder why more people aren’t doing this. The phrase “work life balance” has been bandied about excessively over the years. There is one organisation I know that is the personification of this - Unity4.

As you're reading this, you may be inclined to think that this is all too good to be true, particularly since I haven't mentioned anything about money. After all, I might be the type of person that is just warm and fuzzy and is therefore happy to work for the greater good, for sixteen cents a day.

I can assure you categorically this is not the case. I am paid well, very well when I do well, which is the nature of any modern sales role. The main difference is when I finish my shift there is no drive home because I'm already there. In summary, if you love people, love the phone, and love to challenge yourself on a daily basis, all from the comfort of your own home, in my opinion there is simply no better option than Unity4.

It's the perfect work life balance for me, and I get to wear a cape whenever I want.

I have been working for Unity4 for 2 ½ years now and thoroughly enjoy the work. There is a great team of agents and a fantastic management team, always ready to help.

At the time I started I was looking for a job with flexible hours. I have family commitments preventing me from going “out” to work, it was then I found Unity4.

The Unity4 work sounded "great" but I was a bit sceptical as I had tried so many other "@home" jobs only to be disappointed…not to mention how sceptical my husband was (who, by the way, now also works for Unity4).

After passing my initial test I was excited to begin paid training. That’s right you get paid for the initial training immediately, I found new friends and was very soon on my way to receiving a good wage every two weeks and right on time (including superannuation).

I am always learning new skills and will probably be with Unity4 until "my very last working day"!I recommend working for Unity4 to anyone.

Great work, Great pay, Great people and personally very rewarding.

Thanks Unity4.

One day surfing the internet I saw an advertisement saying that Unity4 was looking for agents. The position offered work at home which suited my particular circumstances; a single mother with two children.

The process of applying to be an agent for Unity4 was hassle free and a pleasant experience.

Upon becoming an Agent for Unity4 which now is 3 years ago, you are taken in and given expertise training and reassurance and made to feel a part of a team.

I live in a beautiful, small town in the mid north coast of NSW and unfortunately there are few options available for local employment. As I said, I solely raise 2 children; the ability to work from home gives me the flexibility to both work and care for my children. The benefit of this flexibility offered by Unity4 is that I can combine my work with family duties in a way that I could only have imagined.

Unity4 has provided me with flexible, interesting, meaningful employment whilst allowing me to manage our home.

Becoming an Agent with Unity4 has many benefits, working from home, above award wages, flexible scheduling, you actually get to choose your own hours and days you would like to work. For example in the past when any of my family has been ill, Unity4 has been compassionate and sympathetic to all our needs, above and beyond the normal work place.

Nothing is too much trouble.

Unity4 offers a variety of interesting campaigns; Market research, Community Awareness Campaigns, Product Knowledge and Branding, to name a few. This variety keeps you refreshed, challenged and provides an insight into things that are occurring outside of your normal day to day routine.

The staff at Unity4 head office (I think there is about 25?) make you feel part of one big family; they are approachable, understanding, kind and helpful. Any issue or problem that may arise they are only a phone call or email away.

I am also very lucky to work with so many wonderful agents, that I have become firm friends. I highly recommend gaining employment with Unity4 they offer flexible interesting employment in a friendly atmosphere all from the comfort of your own home.

I started working with Unity4 as a telephone operator in May 2008 when I was looking for something I could do from home. I wanted flexible hours so that I could still be free to do my other activities.

I have been on the Energy Australia campaign, (selling electricity to Victorian small businesses), since I started and find it very rewarding – it has its challenges but it is also enjoyable. One of the things I really enjoy is the team interaction. Everyone has lots of fun and the support from team members and management is terrific. We are able to online chat while we work to help each other or just as a bit of a diversion.

Working from home is great … work the hours you want to, no traffic hassles, no fancy clothes and makeup and if you need to throw on a load of washing you can!!

The support and training is extremely good with regular recognition for a job well done. Unity4 is a very professionally run organization and the software system is brilliant despite a few hiccups every now and then.

I see myself continuing to work from home for some time to come as it really suits my lifestyle, is rewarding and fun.

I have been working for Unity4 since November 2009 - in that short time I have found them one of the best Companies that I have worked for. My work in a "Virtual Call Centre" as a sales agent suits me perfectly as I am a carer for my mother-in-law who lives with me and my husband suffers chronic pain from a shoulder injury and is unable to work. The position allows me to work flexible hours to suit when I need time off for Medical Appointments etc and I think that it is fantastic to be able to work the hours that suit me and be paid well for it!

I have found the staff and the training to be very professional and pleasant to deal with.

The support and training when needed is fantastic. The fact that we have weekly meetings is great and even though we all work from home there is definitely a strong team spirit.

Overall I have loved Working for Unity4 and hope that it will be a long association for both of us!
